La Biennale di Venezia 1999

SOLD

At the 1999 Venice Biennale, Rosemarie Trockel represented Germany with her exhibition at the Deutscher Pavillon. She showcased three films: Sleepingpill, Kinderspielplatz, and Eye, each exploring themes of ambiguity and non-identity.
To document this exhibition, a two-volume catalogue was published. The first volume features color stills from the three films, providing visual insights into Trockel’s work. The second volume comprises essays by Wilfried Dickhoff, Gudrun Inboden, Lisa Zeiger, Joan Simon, Ralph Melcher, and Jeannette Stoschek, offering critical perspectives on the films. These essays are presented in both German and English, with some exclusively in English
