Meubles Modernes en Metal
Pierre Pinsard

£450 Add to Cart
A scarce portfolio capturing the industrial aesthetic that defined early 20th-century modernist furniture design, when metal emerged as a symbol of modernity, minimalism, and functionality. It contains 24 loose sheets with richly printed images of furniture attributed to influential designers such as Le Corbusier, René Herbst, André Lurçat, Pierre Legrain, Louis Sognot, Marcel Breuer, Germain Debré, Boivinet, R.C. Coquery, Robert Mallet-Stevens, and R. Boyer.
Each piece exemplifies the marriage of form and function, with metal as the defining material and an emphasis on streamlined, utilitarian design.
Condition note: The 24 loose sheets are all in very good condition. The portfolio case has some signs of wear, natural with age. The cloth spine has been mended with archival methods.
