An exhibition poster for Lucas Samaras, produced for a 1985 presentation at the Frankfurter Kunstverein.
The poster relates to Samaras’s photographic practice, particularly his Polaroid-based portraits and staged studio works, in which he explored constructed identity and the manipulation of the photographic image through framing, reflection, and colour. It extends from his earlier experiments in which he directly intervened in the surface of Polaroid prints during development.
