Lore Archive is a material culture archive in London, led by artist Sophie Turner. The collection brings together historical garments, objects and artefacts that support research, visual storytelling and collaboration across art, design, costume and fashion. 

Lore Journal 002 shares a fragment of the collection, encouraging a closer look at smaller details, subtle gestures and often overlooked traces. Bringing together scans of garments, objects and ephemera, the journal focuses on incidental design details, structures and the marks left through making, wearing and use.

Spanning different eras, continents and regions, the collection includes handmade, ceremonial and everyday garments, alongside pieces shaped by utility and labour.

For Issue 002, a collaborative photographic series by Guy Bolongaro, Justine Masche and Tom Porte brings together garments and objects from the collection.

Printed at a large scale on newsprint, each journal is accompanied by a pack of 6 × 4 prints featuring individual pieces from the archive, and a badge.
