Germaine Acogny
Written by the dancer and choreographer Germaine Acongy who co-founded Mudra Afrique school of dance in Senegal at the start of the seventies. Acogny is a descendant of the Yoruba people, but grew up in Senegal and later trained in ballet and classical dance in France. This range of knowledge led to the creation of ‘African Dance’ a hybrid of traditional African dance and western styles which was taught at Mudra Afrique. The book is written in English, French and German. The detailed series of photographs taken by Wolfgang von Wangenheim are supported by instructional text. This copy is in very good condition, pages are clean and the binding is tight.
